What Is PODProfitCheck.org?
PODProfitCheck.org is a free print-on-demand profit calculator. It exists because most POD margin calculators omit marketplace fees, which causes them to overstate profit by 10 to 15 percentage points. A seller who prices against a calculator that ignores Etsy's 6.5% transaction fee, 3% payment processing, and potential 12% to 15% Offsite Ads charge will consistently be disappointed at payout.
This calculator includes provider base cost, fulfillment shipping, subscription cost amortized across monthly orders, and marketplace fees for Etsy, Shopify, and Amazon.

We are not affiliated with Printify, Printful, Gelato, CustomCat, Etsy, Shopify, or Amazon. We do not sell print-on-demand services, and we do not operate a print-on-demand store. We are not a reseller, agency, or consultancy.
Our Methodology
Base cost figures are compiled from published 2026 provider pricing across multiple independent sources and cross-checked against provider documentation where available. Because Printify routes orders through more than 80 independent print providers, its base costs represent mid-range providers rather than a single fixed price. Printful figures reflect its in-house catalog pricing.
Marketplace fee calculations use published 2026 rate cards: Etsy at $0.20 listing, 6.5% transaction on item price plus shipping charged, and 3% plus $0.25 US payment processing; Shopify at 2.9% plus $0.30; Amazon at a 15% referral rate. Platform subscription costs such as Shopify's monthly plan and Amazon's Professional plan are excluded from per-order fee math and noted in the output.
Accuracy and Limitations
POD pricing changes frequently. Providers adjust base costs, add seasonal shipping surcharges, and revise subscription terms. Marketplaces change fee structures. Figures on this site reflect published rates as of the last update date shown on each page.
Several factors are not modeled: plus-size upcharges vary by product and provider; additional print placements, inside labels, and embroidery digitization are add-ons you must include manually in the base cost field; sales tax and VAT treatment varies by jurisdiction; and returns, reprints, and chargebacks reduce realized margin below the per-order figure.
Always confirm live pricing in your provider dashboard before setting retail prices. Treat output here as a planning estimate, not an accounting figure.
